RASH REPAIR
Curb rash repair is a cosmetic-only and non-structral repair to remove rashes, pits, chips, scratches, peeling or faded clearcoats, and other blemishes. The process includes removing damaged areas with a 5-step preparation process of sanding and polishing, then color-matching the paint. and blending a 1k automotive paint onto the repaired areas.
WHAT IS CURB RASH REPAIR?
Curb rash repair is a cosmetic-only and non-structral repair which includes removing damaged areas by sanding, then color-matching and blending paint over the repaired areas.
Curb rash repair involves painting the repaired areas, therefore only powder-coated/ painted rims can be repaired this way. Polished, chrome (bright or dark), and machined rims require special treatments without using paint.
We perform on-vehicle rim repairs so you would need to leave your vehicle for the duration of the repair. Time estimate is generally 2-5 hours with appointment.
PRICING
Paint Match Note
It is impossible to get an exact color and sheen match of paint on powder-coated surfaces as they are inherrently different systems. Also, due to the many factors affecting powder-coated and painted surfaces, such sun-fading, humidity, salts, brake dust, road grime, etc affecting the surface for years, even a factory paint by code would not match properly. So while there is no exact science, we rely on a tried-and-true process and strive to provide an "unnoticable paint-match" to more accurately match the true condition of your wheels. Most customers are surprised they cannot find the repaired areas when they return to their vehicle.

Make an appointment
Call us to make an appointment for when you can leave your vehicle for the time given in your estimate.
Sanding and smoothing
Using a 4-stage process we remove all rash and smooth each area to prepare for painting.
Painting
1K automotive paint is "real-world" matched and applied to all affected areas in several coats.
After repair
Avoid exposing your painted rims to touch or moisture for at least 3 days to allow for proper paint curing.
Machine Surface? If your damage is on a CNC machined finish, our CNC service may be the right option. Text us photos and we'll advise.
