RIM PAINTING &
CURB RASH REPAIR

Curb rash removal and professional repaint for rims that don't have a CNC-machined face. A good option when you don't have time for powder coating and need a fast, quality repair.

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Rim painting is the right choice when your wheel has painted (not CNC-machined) surfaces that have been scuffed by curb contact. We remove the curb rash, prepare the surface, and repaint the damaged area using quality automotive paints.

Can the tire stay on? For minor curb rash on the face of the wheel, we can often do the repair with the tire still mounted on the car. Text us photos and we'll advise you on whether that's possible for your damage.

For more extensive damage, you'll need to have the tire removed at your tire store first — we don't have tire machines.

PRICING

Important: Paint Matching

A 100% paint match cannot be guaranteed. Factors like the age of the rim, original clear coat thickness, metallic content, and ceramic coatings all affect color matching. We use quality B&Z automotive paints and work hard to blend seamlessly — but exact matches are sometimes impossible and we will always be upfront about that.

HOW IT WORKS

1

Text Photos First

Send photos of the damaged area to (209) 598-5202. We'll tell you if tire removal is required and give you a price.

2

Curb Rash Removal

Damaged paint and metal is carefully sanded, ground, and prepped to bare surface for proper adhesion.

3

Priming & Painting

Self-etching primer is applied, followed by color-matched automotive paint using quality B&Z paints.

4

Clear Coat

A protective clear coat is applied to seal the repair and protect against future UV and weathering.

Is CNC repair better for my rim?

If your rim has a CNC-machined face (the shiny silver cut finish common on modern alloy wheels), our CNC curb rash repair is the better option — it re-machines the face rather than painting it. Not sure which you have? Text us a photo.

NOT SURE WHAT YOU NEED?
